I feel like I’m the only one around here who does not like football. Then you get that awkward social pressure to act like you give a fuck otherwise you’ll be ridiculed.

I spoke to my dad about how I find it stupid that even people who don’t care about any other match of rugby union tune in for origin. His reply was “Well if you’re going to pick one game a year to watch, make origin it.”

“But why even bother then? If you don’t like it, you don’t like it”, Jay replied.

To which the father gave his retort, “But it’s the best members of the teams coming together to play”.

 If someone doesn’t like something such as horror movies, putting all the best horror directors together to film a horror movie isn’t going to change how they feel about.

tl;dr Don’t use football as an excuse to let your herp derp shine.
